Farmhouse Addition

This project involved an addition and alterations to a historic 1912 farmhouse on a rural estate to accommodate the needs of a growing family. Most of the original house rooms, features, doors and windows were restored with minimal changes. The 2 level addition features an open kitchen-dining-family space with lots of natural light and large sliding doors leading to extensive terraces on two sides plus a master bedroom suite upstairs. The entire house is clad in untreated cedar shingles while the addition is distinguishable thru the use of visually compatible contemporary windows and detailing.
